This project involved developing a branding system for Great Grey Brewing Co., focusing on creating a distinct identity that connects with craft beer enthusiasts. The development phase refined the logo, packaging, and colour palette, ensuring the design was both visually striking and aligned with the brand’s regional focus. We explored typography, colour, and imagery, ultimately crafting a cohesive brand identity that would resonate with beer lovers and stand out on shelves.
The original beer cans featured vibrant colours and a basic design that highlighted the product. While effective in conveying the brand’s personality, the design was updated to achieve better shelf impact, clearer brand recognition, and a more cohesive look across the product line.

The previous logos served as a foundation for the brand’s evolution, combining hand-lettered style with bold, clean typography. While they captured a sense of local charm, they were refined to enhance legibility and cohesiveness for a more professional and polished identity.

The new logo combines bold typography with a modern, streamlined design. The script font in “Greetings From” evokes a sense of nostalgia, while the clean, sans-serif “Great Grey Brew Co.” ensures a strong, contemporary identity that stands out and remains versatile across various platforms.

The final can designs incorporate bold colours and dynamic visuals, reflecting the brand’s regional pride. Each design is unique to the beer’s flavour, with clear, cohesive branding that ensures visual impact and recognizability on the shelf while maintaining a modern and polished aesthetic.
